It may be our civic duty to serve as jurors, upholding democratic values and whatnot, but every one of us will look for a way to get out of it if we can. Count on The God of Getting Out of Jury Duty for a long list of excuses, from doctor’s notes and family emergencies to bizarre personal beliefs.
