About Nikita

I was born in Winnipeg, Canada, in 1986 and studied art formally at the University of Colorado along with psychology. Later, I studied textile design at the now-defunct California School of Professional Fabric Design in Berkeley.
While in California, I was fortunate to cross paths with social psychologist and past APA President Philip Zimbardo and we worked together for several years. In this position, I was able to combine psychology and art to build engaging presentations for his lectures. Later, I helped support the early development of the Heroic Imagination Project and we co-wrote a book called Man Interrupted, which was published in over a dozen countries. After this, I helped launch the documentary film, The Red Pill, directed by Cassie Jaye, and provided research assistance for Warren Farrell's book, The Boy Crisis, co-authored with John Gray.
In 2019, I returned to painting and am now based in Dallas, Texas. I am creating diverse works concurrently, including abstract, landscape, and wildlife paintings. At the same time, my passion for research and visual communication has evolved into teaching art through my YouTube channel.
